Sanitary wares generally refer to basin sink, tap, shower, bathtub, commode etc These not only make our life easy, but also add aesthetic values.

GENERAL PLANNING CONSIDERATIONS

• Simple technology.
• Must be of good quality.
• Water and energy saving fixtures,
• Should be made up of rust free metal.
• Covered toilet tissue holder so that it does not become wet.

FOR BASIN

• Earmark the place where to use what type of basin.
  • Pedestal Basin.
  • Corner Basin.
  • Dining Space Basin.
• Choose the platform of the Basin
  • Under Counter Basin.
  • Over Counter Basin.
  • Counter Top Basin.
• Before choosing a sink for the kitchen, take the correct measurement of the kitchen slab.
  Remember:
  Measurement of kitchen slab will be different for traditional single sink and modern double sink.
  Decide about burner type (Traditional/flat top) before casting of the kitchen counter.

FOR COMMODE

Type of commode:

• “P Trap” commode fits on the wall.
• “S Trap” commode fits on the floor.
• Size of Commode should be selected based on the size of the toilet.
• Generally, portions of the commode and water tank are installed separately.
• If you want to use “One Piece” commode, inform your plumber.

Remember

Do not use any fixture that is not familiar to your local plumber/ electrician/worker.
Make sure there is adequate after sales service available for every fixture.
Plan beforehand for a bathtub / shower enclosure (these require separate arrangements).
Auto mixing shower sets are user friendly.
Use good quality UPVC pipes and internal fittings to avoid rust.
Water flow depends on the diameter of the pipe, so check that.
Plan the positioning of commode, basin and location of shower keeping “KIBLA” in mind. (Many a times, it creates problem).
If you want a “Rain shower” from the ceiling, plan earlier.
