Polycarboxylic Ether Based Superplasticiser

DESCRIPTION

MegaFlow 112 is an economical admixture based on modified polycarboxylate ether technology and is specially designed for ready mix concrete. MegaFlow 112 is differentiated from conventional superplasticis- er such as those based on sulphonated Naphthalene and melamine formaldehyde condensate, having unique carboxylic ether polymer with long lateral chains. This greatly improves cement dispersion. It is designed to impact extreme workability without segregation of the concrete.

USES

MegaFlow 112 can be used for concrete containing GGBS, micro silica, fly ash, etc. It is a cost effective solution for ready-mix concrete where superior slump retention is required. Extremely useful in high fines concrete, hot weather concrete, etc.

COMPATIBILITY

MegaFlow 112 can be used with all types cements and cementitious materials like fly ash, GGBS, micro silica etc. It should not be premixed with other admixtures. It is not compatible with Naphthalene based admixtures.

DISPENSING

Best performance is achieved when MegaFlow 112 is dispensed into concrete mixer after addition of 80% of water in the concrete.

DOSAGE

Recommended dosage is 0.5- 2% by weight of cementitious material. Higher dosage can be used after verification of performance by conducting lab and site trials. Optimum dosage of MegaFlow112 and effect on concrete proper- ties such as workability, strength, setting time, etc are best assested after preliminary tests on site using the actual materials of mixes under consideration.

EFFECT OF OVERDOSING

Overdosing may result in higher workability and delay in setting. In such cases, provided the concrete is properly cured, the ultimate strength will generally be higher than the regu- lar
